Swim Team UPDATE - Week of 6/13/22
Hello, parents!
Coach Trent tested positive for COVID earlier this evening. Per normal COVID protocol, he will not be present this week for practices or the meet, but will be working virtually with the other coaches to ensure a smooth week. The other coaches have already met as a group and are prepared to run practices, and Coach Trent will also assist with getting the heat sheets updated and merged with the other team for our first HOME meet this Wednesday. Aside from the practice schedule change on Monday to accommodate the stroke clinic, the rest of the week will be the normal schedule.
Our FIRST HOME MEET is on Wednesday versus Heritage Farms. PLEASE CHECK IN WITH LAURA WALDROP BY 4:30pm - warmups will start promptly at 5pm!
A big thank-you to Cara Carson for coordinating concessions for this upcoming meet - the menu is going to be fantastic! Remember that concessions can only accept CASH for payments. Also, if anyone is in a baking mood this week 🥰, we’d be thrilled to be able to offer FRESH BAKED GOODS for sale along with the normal pre-packaged treats - any contributions are very welcome! As always, all proceeds from concessions will benefit the coaches and swim team.
VOLUNTEERING for job shifts at meets is critical to the success of the meets and so far you all have been amazing with filling all of the jobs. We have more jobs to fill as the host team this week, so if you haven’t volunteered yet, please consider signing up for a shift or two this Wednesday.
Thank you to all the parents and swimmers who are making this season so awesome. I keep hearing lots of positive feedback and love that the kids are having such a great year. A great swim team starts with great leadership, and we are lucky to have the BEST COACHES AROUND!! ❤️❤️❤️
Let’s have a great week and GO BARRACUDAS!!!
